Voyage through pirate history with a museum over 300 years in the making! Real Pirates Salem features real artifacts and treasure from the shipwrecked Whydah Gally. From lore to legendary find, see and touch the world’s only authenticated pirate treasure ever discovered – including coins, cannons, and weapons – recovered from the ocean floor by underwater explorer Barry Clifford.
The Witch House was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin (1640–1718) and is one of the few structures you can visit in Salem with direct ties to the Salem witch trials of 1692.
Established before 1637, Charter Street Cemetery is the oldest European burial ground in Salem and among the oldest in the country, though Indigenous burial sites that pre-date colonization are found in Salem. The cemetery’s historical significance was recognized in 1975 when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of Salem’s Charter Street Historic District.

First Church in Salem is a Unitarian Universalist church in Salem, Massachusetts that was designed by Solomon Willard and built in 1836. Before the church was built, around 1635, its members had to gather in houses or a building near the Town House Square.
Salem’s Old Town Hall is a federal style building, erected in 1816 and namesake of the Old Town Hall National Historic District. This space is no longer used as a space for municipal operations but is instead utilized as a cultural and rental facility in service to the community of Salem, MA.

The Phillips Elementary School building conveniently ended its run as a functioning school in 1992, making it the perfect location for a movie filming in Salem that required some exterior high school footage. While the building is not open to the public today the exterior can still be viewed from the Common.
